THE HISTORY OF THE SPAGHETTI WAREHOUSE
In 1972, The Spaghetti Warehouse was born, in the warehouse district of the West End of Dallas, Texas. An abandoned pillow factory was the setting for a fresh dining concept utilizing the authentic Italian family recipes of Chef Victor Petta, Jr., who had long specialized in authentic Italian cooking. He developed Spaghetti Warehouse’s patented system of spaghetti preparation. The unconventional venue and old-world recipes attracted the masses and brought new energy to a fledgling community
and life to the empty streets of West End, spurring significant development in the area.
Spaghetti Warehouse opened in Columbus, Ohio in 1978 in a former ice factory building that could seat 800 guests, making it the largest restaurant in the company with the highest sales. The brand stood as a Columbus icon for 45 years in that space, serving its multi-generational community until 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic forced massive shutdowns in the industry. A partial roof collapse closed the doors indefinitely in 2022, and we as a company were forced to make the difficult decision to move from that iconic location. Nevertheless, we realized that we had an opportunity to reimagine our concept and evolve the brand in a way that connects its heritage to a new future in the modern Italian atmosphere and fare.
Since our relocation to the landmark High Street, the Spaghetti Warehouse has revitalized its menu and atmosphere. We’ve upgraded our quality of cuisine, hospitality, and services to reflect the exciting, progressive spirit of our beautiful city.
EVERY DAY LIFE
CELEBRATING LIFE’S MOMENTS
Since 1972, it has been our pleasure to celebrate joyous happenings and nights out with friends and family. Our guests come to Spaghetti Warehouse to celebrate and enjoy our made-from-scratch Italian American menu, featuring our popular incredible 15-layer Lasagne that takes 3 days to prepare and our famous Spaghetti & Hand-Rolled Meatballs.
Over the last 40-plus years, we have served millions who consider us part of their family. Our guests remember those celebrations at “The Warehouse” and we want those memories to always be happy ones. Perhaps that’s why we’re different from other restaurants: a place to “go out to eat” just isn’t who we are. We’re a restaurant where you can celebrate, dine and enjoy the simple and most important things in life “each other”.
